Newtown redevelopment
The full demolition and rebuild of our Newtown site in Skelmersdale has made this a real flagship for us – boosting sales and creating a new retail facility for the community.
The eight-week project completed in June 2009 and included:
- A new canopy
- Eight new pumps and four new HGV pumps
- 15 new parking spaces
- A car wash and three jet washes
- Introduced ancillary services (ATM, Air Vac, Pay Zone)
- Introduced SPAR branded retail space
- Subway franchise coming soon
- Introduced two J J Beanos coffee machines
- Improved shop facilities such as colour photocopying, photo printing and a photo booth.
As a result year on year fuel sales increased by 25% and retail sales by 75%.
