Intervias Group has reached an agreement with Esso Italiana S.r.l. – an ExxonMobil company – for the purchase of the going concern consisting of 1,176 Esso branded service stations, located in several Italian regions.
A long-term branded fuel supply agreement will retain the Esso fuel brand allowing consumers to continue to purchase the same high quality fuel products.
Through this acquisition, Intervias Group will further expand its brand retail network, enhancing fuel and non-fuel business value.
The purchase is subject to the competition authority approval and is expected to take a minimum of five months to complete.

Intervias Group is based out of the United Kingdom, and represents one of the strongest retail operators in Europe, was formed in 2016 after Euro Garages Ltd (EG) merger with European Forecourt Retail Group (EFR), and operates nearly 1,550 petrol forecourt sites, of which more than 100 motorway sites.
